Hazmat Restrictions & TSA Prohibited Items

Purpose
Gridiron Air is restricted from carrying most types of hazardous materials and all types of TSA-prohibited items on its aircraft. This document describes these restrictions and provides a means to communicate these restrictions to passengers if desired by the client.
Hazardous Materials Restrictions
The 4 most common hazardous materials attempted to be brought onboard are:
- Lithium batteries
- Aerosols exceeding allowed limits
- Flammable liquids
- Compressed gases, including bear spray or compressed oxygen

TSA Prohibited Items
The 4 most common prohibited items attempted to be brought onboard are:
- Firearms in carry-on luggage
- Liquids exceeding the allowed limits
- e-Cigarettes and vapes in checked luggage
- Ammunition that does not comply with TSA regulations

Passenger Inquiry
Before accepting checked baggage or carry-on baggage on Gridiron aircraft, a Gridiron agent will query each person if they have restricted items in their baggage, carry-ons, or as cargo.
Passengers will be responsible for the disposition of hazardous materials and TSA-prohibited items.
Cargo
Gridiron does not accept hazardous cargo for transport. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that no hazardous cargo, per 49 CFR is offered for shipment by Gridiron. If unauthorized hazardous cargo shipments are made, Gridiron is required to report the shipment to the FAA Hazardous Materials Program Office.

Notification to Passengers
Passengers are notified via the Charter Agreement, Gridiron Air website, and signage is posted at Passenger Check-in / Screening.
